Professor. Julian Mamo is a family doctor and a member of the Malta College of Family Doctors. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Malta in 1984. He studied epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, graduating with a Masters of Science.

Profs. Mamo continued on to study Ageing and Health and graduated with a PhD from King’s College, London. He works in a number of local clinics in Malta as well as several Homes for older persons.

In 2018, the University of Malta promoted him to Associate professor for his research and teaching in Health. He also conducts minor surgery including wart and sebaceous cyst removal, as well as suturing of lacerated wounds.
